Our beautiful Bush Medicine “Yili” (leaves) - print was created for The Wow Factor Home by a contemporary Aboriginal Artist Dindi Art. Dindi Artist Sharna is directly related to the Pwerle women of Utopia who are the traditional creators of the Medicine Leaves style of painting. As a direct relative of these women she has permission from the elders to paint in this traditional form. By creating its image the artist encourage the regeneration of the bush medicine plant so her people can continue to benefit from its healing properties.

Yili means leaves in the traditional language of the Wiradjuri people of Australia. Bush Medicine leaves are a traditional Aboriginal style of artwork which can only be painted by women. The mesmerising swirling pattern of the leaves represents the healing properties of the bush leaves.
